Commercial Auto Claims Examiner - Property Damage Only
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Auto Claims Examiner to join a team. This role focuses exclusively on handling Property Damage (PD) claims, with no involvement in bodily injury or litigation. The position is fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial auto claims, including experience with cargo, in-tow, and total loss claims.

Compensation Package
- Hourly Rate: $37-$39/hour
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
- Annual Salary Range (upon hire): $65,000-$85,000 (based on qualifications, location, and other considerations)

Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve non-litigated commercial auto claims, focusing on property damage.
- Handle claims from across the United States, including cargo, in-tow, and total loss claims.
- Manage a caseload of 135-160 claims, with a maximum of 175 features.
- Obtain and review estimates, evidence, reports, and other documentation.
- Handle first-party and third-party damages, including total loss, fire, theft, and glass claims.
- Evaluate injury demands and establish damages and reserves.
- Process payments and maintain claim files in accordance with best practices.
- Take recorded statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
- Obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Licensing: Active adjuster license required, with the ability to obtain Texas and Florida licenses (employer will cover costs). California residents must hold a California home state license.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years handling commercial auto claims.
- Experience with cargo, in-tow, and total loss claims (preferred).
- Familiarity with salvage platforms and vehicle damage appraisals (preferred).
- Proven record of top-tier performance ratings.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in investigating coverage and writing coverage letters.
- Ability to present files in roundtable discussions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Location:
- Candidates must reside in Pacific Standard Time (PST) or be willing to work PST business hours.
- Flexibility to travel for conferences and meetings if required.
