Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join a dynamic insurance agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing small and mid-market commercial accounts, with a focus on small market clients. Previous independent agency experience is essential. This role focuses primarily on client service, with some internal sales responsibilities such as cross-selling and upselling. A Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to small and mid-market commercial clients, addressing inquiries, processing policy changes, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Manage policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and certificates of insurance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate with carriers, underwriters, and clients to ensure accurate policy documentation and timely service delivery.
  • Utilize agency management software to manage client accounts, track interactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional coverages to existing clients to meet their evolving needs.
  • Assist producers with preparing quotes, proposals, and other sales-related materials for small and mid-market accounts.
  • Provide support during the new business onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for clients.
  • Maintain compliance with agency and carrier standards, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Process premium payments, audits, and claims coordination as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, carrier products, and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations to clients.
Qualifications:
  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a CSR in a commercial lines insurance agency.
  • Proficiency with HawkSoft agency management software - preferred.
  • Proven experience servicing small market commercial accounts; some mid-market experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell or upsell insurance products to existing clients - preferred.
