Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong book of business by building and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Assess the insurance needs of businesses across diverse industries and present tailored solutions that align with their coverage requirements.
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, and various outreach efforts to expand the client base.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product recommendations to potential and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with internal underwriters and customer service teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and product developments to offer competitive solutions.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics through a consultative and client-focused sales approach.
  • Regularly follow up with clients to review policy performance, address questions, and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and community engagements to enhance brand visibility.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Insurance Producer or experience in commercial insurance sales is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish trust and build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills to articulate the benefits of commercial insurance products.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software to manage client data and sales pipelines.
  • A self-starter with excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license or willingness to obtain one within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Additional certifications such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) are a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel locally to meet with clients and attend networking events as needed.
