Job Title: Commercial Lines Account Executive
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Commercial Lines Account Executive to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring exceptional service while driving revenue through identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of commercial insurance products, demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, and be committed to fostering a culture of collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all commercial insurance needs.
- Develop tailored insurance solutions that align with clients' business objectives and risk management strategies.
- Educate clients on policy options, endorsements, and coverage changes to ensure their needs are continuously met.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate coverage terms, conditions, and pricing on behalf of clients.
- Stay current on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice and recommendations.
- Manage and oversee renewal processes, ensuring timely submission and accurate documentation.
- Address and resolve client inquiries regarding claims, billing, and policy changes.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by mentoring peers and sharing industry knowledge.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Account Executive or in a similar account management role within an insurance brokerage or agency.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, including property, liability, and specialty coverages.
- Active insurance producer license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly to clients.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with a client-first mentality.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using agency management software.
