Commercial Insurance Account Manager - Edison, NJ - Hybrid Schedule

An independent insurance agency is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to help support their commercial lines department.   

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed for account review

• Perform policy quoting, binding, issuing, new & renewal marketing

• Maintains and updates files in agency management system.
• Verifies policy and change information, facilitating corrections when necessary.
• Processes incoming email and mail requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Verifies accuracy of all direct billed cancellations and takes appropriate corrective action when needed.
• Determines reasons for requests for cancellations; acts to save accounts; notifies producers according to agency standards.
• Processing Certificates & Endorsements

Qualification:

• Active P&C license required 
• Must be okay with hybrid schedule
• 4+ years Insurance industry experience in a retail agency
• Proficiency with Epic, AMS360 or a similar agency management system
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and coverages
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
