Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, support team growth, and foster strong client relationships. This position requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to deliver tailored insurance solutions that meet client needs.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients through exceptional customer service and proactive support.
  • Manage new business, policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and claims in an efficient and client-focused manner.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate optimal coverage and pricing options for clients.
  • Assess client needs, recommend insurance products, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Educate clients on policy terms, coverage options, risk management strategies, and changes.
  • Ensure prompt, accurate handling of client requests, inquiries, and transactions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and insurance products.
  • Maintain accurate client files and account documentation in line with company policies.
  • Proactively identify and address potential service issues, providing timely resolutions.
  • Assist the sales team in onboarding new clients and cross-selling additional products.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

  • Experience: Minimum [X years] of experience in commercial insurance, account management, or a related field.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry practices.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred:

  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, or CISR are a plus.
