Woodcliff Lake, NJ (Hybrid)
$90,000 – $140,000 (Depending on Experience)

Our client, a start up and growing insurance agency, is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join their team in a hybrid capacity out of Woodcliff Lake, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts.

Position Overview

The Commercial Lines Account Manager will be responsible for managing a book of business with a focus on middle to large market clients across a variety of industries. This role requires a strong generalist background, with preferred experience in real estate, construction, and contractor-focused accounts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and capable of handling accounts from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of commercial accounts, including renewals, endorsements, billing, and client servicing
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Market new and renewal business to carriers to secure competitive coverage and pricing
  • Review policies and coverage to ensure alignment with client needs and risk exposures
  • Prepare proposals, summaries, and client-facing documentation
  • Coordinate with producers, underwriters, and carriers to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Assist with claims advocacy and resolution as needed
  • Stay current on market trends, carrier appetites, and industry developments

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience
  • Strong generalist background with exposure to multiple lines of coverage
  • Experience working with middle to large market accounts preferred
  • Industry experience in real estate, construction, and contractor segments highly preferred
  • Proficiency in agency management system Applied Epic required 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Active Property & Casualty license required
