Risk Management Associate - Commercial Insurance Sales

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and results-driven Risk Management Associate to join a Commercial Insurance Sales team. This role is responsible for acquiring and retaining commercial property and casualty clients while proactively building relationships, driving agency growth, and achieving annual sales goals. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional client service, maintaining high professional standards, and developing long-term business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities by prospecting and following established sales processes.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline with accurate documentation and measurable progress within the agency management system.
  • Schedule and conduct consultative sales presentations with prospective clients.
  • Gather business and underwriting information to develop customized insurance proposals.
  • Provide informed recommendations and coverage solutions based on client needs.
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with centers of influence, networking groups, and clients.
  • Cross-sell additional insurance products and services when appropriate.
  • Foster strong client relationships through consistent communication and service.
  • Support retention and growth efforts by following established renewal and client service processes.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging risks, and coverage solutions.
  • Accurately document client and prospect interactions within the agency management system.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop expertise within targeted industry niches through industry associations and networking activities.
  • Participate in sales, department, and company meetings to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and performance goals.
  • Represent the organization professionally and ethically.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful business-to-business consultative sales experience.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and team-oriented professional.
  • Experience utilizing CRM and agency management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $125,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Uncapped commission earning potential.
