Job Summary
The Commercial Lines Senior Client Manager is responsible for overseeing a substantial book of commercial insurance accounts, driving client retention and satisfaction through expert service delivery and proactive relationship management. This role requires deep market knowledge, strong communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of account administration.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume book of commercial insurance business, ensuring all tasks—renewals, endorsements, new policies, billing and claims—are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships by providing advocacy, professional communication and high-quality service
  • Conduct regular reviews of expiration lists and coordinate with leadership to secure renewal opportunities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market appetites, underwriting guidelines and submission procedures
  • Review applications, policies, endorsements and audits for completeness and accuracy
  • Serve as primary client liaison for service requests, policy changes and problem resolution
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth account transitions and policy implementations

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial account management
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license
  • Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with agency management systems (e.g., Applied/Epic) preferred
  • Self-motivated, driven and able to work independently while maintaining strong team engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and uphold a sense of urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and independent problem solving
  • Proven discretion when handling confidential information and a consistently professional demeanor
