Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a growing team. This role is responsible for managing and servicing employee benefits accounts, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the policy lifecycle. The position offers an opportunity to support a growing employee benefits practice while collaborating with internal teams and carrier partners to provide strategic benefits solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in employee benefits account management, experience conducting open enrollment meetings, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Commission: Eligible for commissions on business bound from cross-sell opportunities or client referrals.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package provided.
  • Work Arrangement: Remote, with potential for an initial in-office onboarding period. Occasional travel required during enrollment season for in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of fully insured group accounts ranging from 10-250 lives.
  • Conduct open enrollment meetings independently and effectively.
  • Market accounts and handle renewal presentations.
  • Identify and act on cross-sell opportunities from the Commercial Lines production team.
  • Quote new and renewal business as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits Department team to ensure seamless client service.
  • Utilize software tools such as Ease/Employee Navigator, EPIC, and Mineral (HR) to manage accounts and streamline processes.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits account management; 5+ years preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Ease/Employee Navigator, EPIC, and Mineral (HR) software is highly desirable.
