Employee Benefits Junior Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Junior Account Manager to support and service a designated book of employee benefits clients. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive support related to renewals, enrollments, compliance resources, and ongoing benefits administration. The ideal candidate is client-focused, highly organized, and committed to delivering exceptional service while supporting client retention and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Service
- Serve as the primary service contact for assigned employee benefits clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Manage annual renewal processes, including data collection, quoting, plan comparisons, and proposal preparation.
- Coordinate open enrollment activities, including employee communications and enrollment support.
- Process new business submissions, employee additions, terminations, and qualifying life event changes.
- Resolve carrier, billing, claims, and eligibility issues professionally and efficiently.
- Deliver value-added services, including compliance support, employee education, HR resources, market updates, plan performance reviews, and wellness initiatives.
- Educate clients on benefit plan options and enrollment processes through consultations, webinars, and presentations.
- Promote agency service tools and technology platforms to enhance the client experience.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and long-term satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records within the agency management system.
- Collaborate with internal team members and carrier partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in employee benefits, group health insurance, or a related insurance role.
- Strong understanding of group health insurance and ancillary benefits.
- Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with agency management software.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $68,000 annually.
- Flexible hybrid work arrangement.
