Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and driven Employee Benefits Producer to join a growing team. Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: Competitive, ranging from $60,000 to $250,000, depending on experience and book of business.
  • Commissions: Straight salary with commissions from day one. New business and renewals split at 40%/20%, negotiable. After validation (typically 3-4 years), the split increases to 65%/15%.
  • Validation Period: 3 years, with a sliding salary structure and commissions throughout.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive and robust benefits package.
  • Hybrid Work Model: Flexible work environment with two required in-office days per week (Monday is a core day; the second day is flexible).
  • Travel: As necessary to secure and maintain business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a personal book of business by developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the employee benefits market.
  • Provide expert guidance and solutions to clients on employee benefits, including self-funded and fully insured plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and leverage company resources to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions.
  • Participate in sales and retention meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and maintain a strong network within the employee benefits sector.
  • Travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Active Life and Health (L&H) license is required.
  • Proven experience in employee benefits sales or a related field is preferred, but candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new concepts, including self-funded and fully insured plans.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 or similar CRM software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute a business plan.
