Benefits Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and motivated Benefits Consultant to join a team.

Compensation Package

  • Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience. Higher compensation available for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Life & Health (L&H) license if not already licensed.
  • Participate in training programs to gain technical knowledge and understand the business.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads.
  • Identify, qualify, and requalify leads to generate new business opportunities.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with potential clients.
  • Collaborate with leadership for guidance and mentorship during the onboarding period.
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage client relationships and track progress.
  • Travel locally as needed to meet with clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in sales or a related field.
  • Education: Demonstrated ability to balance work and education is a plus.
  • Licenses: Life & Health (L&H) license preferred; must be willing to obtain if not already licensed.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong presence and confidence.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt.
    • Flexibility and resilience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and proactively generate leads.
  • Preferred Background: Experience with companies such as Enterprise, ADP, or payroll firms is highly desirable.
