General Liability Claims Representative - Temporary
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Liability Claims Representative to join a team on a temporary basis. This role involves directly handling business owner liability claims, including bodily injury and property damage claims. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home.
Compensation Package
- Hourly Rate: $35-40 per hour

Responsibilities
As a General Liability Claims Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing an active caseload of General Liability bodily injury, property damage, and garagekeepers claims under business owner policies.
- Analyzing coverage issues under standard Commercial General Liability coverage forms.
- Investigating, evaluating, and processing new loss notices and claim tenders.
- Adjusting total auto losses as part of liability claims handling.
- Drafting coverage letters and maintaining frequent communication with various parties, including attorneys.
- Collaborating on setting reserves at appropriate levels for claims.
- Utilizing sound judgment in managing Allocated Loss Adjustment Expenses (ALAE) during claims investigations.
- Documenting claim files in accordance with established guidelines.
- Obtaining and maintaining adjuster licenses, as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
- CPCU or other industry designation is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of prior general liability claims adjusting experience preferred.
- Experience in handling bodily injury claims is essential.
- Experience in Garagekeepers claims is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex claims.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar usage and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and respond to inquiries with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and internet applications.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage interruptions effectively.
- Capable of working under pressure and exercising sound judgment in sensitive situations.
