Commercial Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Account Manager to join a team. This role is integral to servicing and retaining existing business, supporting producers in developing new business, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will manage an assigned book of business, strengthen client and carrier relationships, and handle day-to-day account management responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Service and retain existing business while supporting producers in developing new business opportunities.
  • Manage an assigned book of business, focusing on middle-market accounts.
  • Handle day-to-day account management, including client communication and relationship building.
  • Pre-qualify and underwrite new business submissions in accordance with carrier and agency standards.
  • Prepare and deliver policies, endorsements, audits, auto ID cards, and other client documents.
  • Generate new business quotes through carrier website quoting systems and collaborate with carrier underwriting teams.
  • Prepare and verify client billings, invoices, and certificates of insurance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers to ensure high client retention.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Associate Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Licenses/Designations: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
    • Success-driven and self-motivated with excellent teamwork abilities.
    • Proficient in EPIC software.
    • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
    • Commitment to providing unmatched service to maintain high client retention.
