Insurance Defense Partner
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Partner-Level Attorney to lead complex insurance defense litigation matters, manage key carrier relationships, mentor legal staff, and contribute to the continued growth and strategic direction of a successful litigation practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned attorney who thrives in a results-oriented environment, excels at client relationship management, and has a strong background in insurance defense litigation.
Responsibilities

Manage complex insurance defense matters from intake through resolution, including litigation strategy, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for carrier clients and key stakeholders.

Develop and maintain strong carrier relationships while delivering exceptional client service.

Mentor, supervise, and support associates and junior attorneys.

Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including strengthening existing relationships and generating new business.

Ensure compliance with carrier litigation guidelines, billing protocols, and reporting requirements.

Contribute to operational initiatives, talent development, and continuous improvement efforts.

Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic growth objectives and practice development.
Qualifications/Requirements

Active bar license required.

9+ years of civil litigation experience, primarily focused on insurance defense.

Significant first-chair trial and/or arbitration experience.

Strong background representing insurance carriers or carrier-panel clients.

Demonstrated success managing senior-level client relationships.

Proven track record of accurate, compliant billing practices and strong realization performance.

Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing attorneys.

Strong business development, leadership, and client management skills.

Ability to thrive in a performance-driven compensation environment.
Compensation Package

Salary Range: $155,000 – $170,000 annually, based on experience.
