Personal Lines Agent
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Lines Agent to join a well-established, full-service independent insurance agency. As a Personal Lines Agent, you will play a vital role in servicing and cross-selling personal insurance accounts, ensuring clients receive the best coverage tailored to their needs. This is an in-office position, offering the opportunity to work closely with a supportive and professional team.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $20–$25 per hour (up to $50,000 annually)
- Commission: 30% on new business and rewrites

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and leads (no cold-calling or fieldwork required)
- Write new policies and make changes to existing policies
- Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries
- Cross-sell additional insurance products to existing clients
- Work with standard and non-standard carriers, including Mercury, Safeco, and CA Fair Plan
- Utilize EPIC software for quoting, policy management, and client interactions
- Collaborate with support staff for billing and other administrative tasks
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in personal lines insurance
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC software and familiarity with carriers such as Mercury, Safeco, and CA Fair Plan
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, ability to multitask, customer-focused mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Work Environment: Must be able to work in-office to provide face-to-face service to clients
