Personal Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to join a team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional support to clients while maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers. As an integral part of a growing team, you will ensure policy accuracy, address client inquiries, and deliver personalized recommendations for personal insurance needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients by understanding their personal insurance needs and providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage a portfolio of personal lines insurance accounts, ensuring policies are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries, policy changes, coverage questions, and billing concerns.
  • Educate clients on coverage options and make tailored recommendations to suit their personal needs.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to quote, bind, renew, and service policies, always striving for optimal results for clients.
  • Monitor and manage renewals, cancellations, and non-renewals; proactively suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and insurance products to provide accurate advice to clients.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling additional services and products to support clients’ needs.
  • Work collaboratively with internal team members to promote teamwork and seamless client service.
  • Maintain client data securely and accurately using agency management systems and follow all compliance guidelines.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a similar client-facing role; personal lines insurance experience is highly preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of personal insurance products, such as homeowners, auto, renters, and umbrella policies.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a passion for customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in using insurance software/agency management systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
