Property and Casualty Broker
Job Summary
A growing wholesale brokerage is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property and Casualty Broker to join its team. This role is responsible for producing property and casualty accounts on a wholesale basis, working with retail brokerages across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process new business accounts of significant size and complexity.
- Serve as a non-client-facing intermediary, collaborating with retail brokerages to place complex or hard-to-place risks.
- Negotiate rates, coverage options, and policy terms with underwriters on behalf of retail brokers.
- Provide training and guidance to technical assistants to ensure efficient processes and professional development.
- Support the brokerage team by providing back-up assistance to other brokers and staff as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of quotes, policy binders, and other documentation to retail brokers.
- Stay informed about evolving insurance products, industry trends, and market conditions to provide optimal solutions to retail brokers.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Wholesale brokerage experience preferred.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Eagerness to learn and develop as a broker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relationship-building skills with carriers and retail brokers.
- Problem-solving mindset with confidence and persistence.
- Competitive drive and a desire to contribute to a growing organization.
