Job Summary
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing and servicing some of the largest and most complex client relationships within the Client Services team. This role serves as the primary liaison between the organization and its clients, ensuring that client needs are met, service expectations are communicated, and retention strategies are executed. The position requires significant client-facing interaction, strategic collaboration with internal teams, and the ability to travel approximately 40–50% for client site visits and open enrollment meetings.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, articulating products, services, and service level expectations to both clients and internal departments.
- Coordinate and conduct open enrollment meetings and client visits, requiring travel roughly 40–50% of the time.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors, including on-site visits to client locations.
- Employ client retention strategies that foster satisfaction, loyalty, and ongoing collaboration.
- Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to strategize and facilitate annual benefit renewals.
- Monitor client claims and performance metrics to ensure consistency with established goals, providing full-service administration support.
- Stay current on industry standards, legislative updates, insurance product changes, and emerging trends.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations by managing required administrative details.
- Work effectively with internal departments (e.g., Claims, Compliance, Operations) to support client goals and initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration, consulting, or within the insurance industry on the carrier side.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40–50% to support client meetings and open enrollments.
- Background in legal compliance, benefit administration, and labor/employee relations preferred.
- Current Life and Accident/Health insurance license is required.
- Prior brokerage experience is preferred.
