Senior Construction Account Executive

 

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced insurance professional to serve as Lead Account Executive for a Construction-focused book of business. This role requires strong technical knowledge of construction coverages, including OCCIP, CCIP, and Builder’s Risk. Candidates must hold an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license and bring demonstrated expertise in the insurance industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead Account Executive in maintaining a high level of renewal retention on an established construction book of business.
  • Review policies and endorsements, request changes with carriers as needed.
  • Prepare applications for new and renewal marketing.
  • Build and maintain strong market relationships.
  • Maintain client files and activities in the agency management system, including invoicing, certificates, and ID cards.
  • Monitor renewal timelines to ensure all documentation is provided in a timely manner.
  • Accurately bill renewals, new business, endorsements, and audits.
  • Obtain and summarize loss runs for renewals.
  • Oversee open items with clients and determine appropriate course of action to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Participate in client and carrier meetings.
  • Order and issue binders, certificates, endorsements, and ID cards as needed; verify accuracy and forward to clients with appropriate correspondence.
  • Prepare insurance summaries and handle premium allocations.
  • Manage correspondence with clients, carriers, and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with designated support staff handling back-end tasks.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Insurance or related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience in the construction insurance industry.
  • Holds an active P&C insurance license.
  • CPCU and/or CRIS designation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, coverages, and markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and agency management software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
