Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a team. This role is integral to a mission of providing exceptional service to clients, which are primarily credit unions and financial institutions. As a Sr. EBAM, you will manage a portfolio of 8-10 clients, focusing on group medical, life, dental, vision, and ancillary lines, with a strong emphasis on self-funded health plans. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior executives at client organizations, providing strategic guidance and fostering long-term relationships.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually
  • Benefits: Competitive benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, professional development opportunities, etc.
  • Travel: Minimal, approximately once per quarter out of state

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of 8-10 clients, primarily credit unions with employee groups ranging from 100 to 800.
  • Handle group medical, life, dental, vision, and ancillary lines, with a focus on self-funded health plans (approximately 70% of accounts).
  • Conduct renewals, RFPs, and quoting processes.
  • Lead client meetings, both in-person and online, with senior executives such as CFOs and other decision-makers.
  • Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge to provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Active Life & Health (L&H) license is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in employee benefits account management, with a strong understanding of self-funded health plans.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in quoting and renewal processes; familiarity with property systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives.
