Trucking Defense Attorney

Seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in trucking, transportation, and insurance defense litigation. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney who can manage their own caseload while contributing within a collaborative litigation team. Compensation:

  • Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000, commensurate with experience

  • Discretionary bonus program available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and draft briefs, memoranda, and opinions

  • Review new cases and develop litigation strategies

  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

  • Take and defend depositions, including examinations under oath

  • Argue pre-trial motions and represent clients in mediation

  • Manage cases through trial, including jury trials

  • Ensure timely and organized case management across all files

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar (required)

  • Admission to the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida (preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years of  trucking/transportation litigation experience (required)

  • Experience with cargo loss and damage claims (preferred)

  • Broad knowledge of litigation issues facing trucking/transportation clients

  • Familiarity with ProLaw software
