Position Overview

Our client, a well-established insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Auto Claims Adjuster with Physical Damage expertise to join their claims organization. This role is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving auto physical damage claims while delivering high-quality customer service and ensuring compliance with company guidelines and state regulations.

 

Salary/Benefits

 

• $60,000 - $85,000+/year (based on experience)
• 20 days of PTO (10 Vacation, 5 Personal, 5 Sick | Can carry over a total of 5 Sick Days)

Requirements

• 2+ years of auto claims adjusting experience with a focus on physical damage
• Strong knowledge of auto policies, coverages, and state regulations
• Experience reviewing and negotiating repair estimates
• Familiarity with estimating platforms such as CCC, Mitchell, or Audatex
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume desk while maintaining accuracy and timeliness

Job Description

• Handle auto physical damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution
• Investigate losses, determine coverage, liability, and damages
• Review estimates, photos, and appraisals; negotiate settlements with repair facilities and claimants
• Coordinate inspections with field appraisers or utilize virtual estimating tools
• Evaluate total loss claims and salvage processes when applicable
• Communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, vendors, and internal partners
• Ensure timely, accurate claim documentation and diary management
• Comply with all regulatory, carrier, and best-practice guidelines
