Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Auto Adjuster BI/PD to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will handle bodily injury (BI) and property damage (PD) claims involving commercial auto incidents, ensuring fair and timely resolutions. The position calls for strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills. Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust commercial auto liability claims involving bodily injury and property damage.
- Review and analyze policy contracts, medical records, statements, and other documentation to determine coverage and assess claim validity.
- Establish and maintain appropriate reserves for claims and manage files to successful resolution.
- Work collaboratively with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, repair shops, and medical professionals to gather all relevant facts.
- Negotiate settlements within authority limits and ensure timely payments in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Document all case activity accurately in compliance with company procedures and industry best practices.
- Stay informed of state/national compliance standards and relevant legal changes affecting claims handling.
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive work environment by valuing diverse perspectives and treating all individuals with respect.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in auto claims handling, with a focus on bodily injury (BI) and property damage (PD) claims.
- Appropriate state adjuster license(s) required, or the ability to obtain licensing within a specified timeframe.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with claims management software and MS Office Suite.
- Empathy and professionalism when dealing with sensitive or emotional situations.
- Adaptability and willingness to continuously learn new processes.
