Commercial Lines Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a team. This role is integral to maintaining and growing the portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines account management, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to the clients. This position offers the flexibility of working onsite, hybrid, or remote for the right candidate.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience
  • Competitive benefits package, 401(k), paid time off, professional development opportunities, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of business valued at $1.4 million, focusing on accounts with premiums of $100,000 and under
  • Handle renewals (85%) and new business quoting (15%)
  • Perform tasks such as quoting, renewals, remarketing, endorsements, policy changes, and issuing certificates of insurance
  • Communicate effectively with clients via email and occasional inbound calls
  • Collaborate with producers and other team members to ensure client satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
  • Experience with Epic software is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and integrity are essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with small business accounts, including generalist accounts, surplus lines (30%), and standard lines (70%)
