Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a growing team. This role is pivotal in managing and servicing a book of middle-market commercial accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and loyalty. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of multi-line commercial insurance contracts and coverages, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to client service.
Compensation Package
- Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k)
- Work Environment: Hybrid (after 90 days)
Responsibilities
- Manage and service a book of business averaging $800,000 to $1,000,000 in annual revenue.
- Retain assigned accounts in collaboration with Producers and Account Executives.
- Conduct annual reviews of client coverages to identify potential gaps and recommend needed coverages.
- Negotiate renewal pricing and coverage, and remarket coverage as needed.
- Prepare proposals and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Input and maintain accurate client policy information in the agency management system (AMS).
- Coordinate with the Certificate Department for issuance and review of Certificates of Insurance.
- Assist in preparation and presentation of claim reviews as required by the Client Service Plan.
- Respond to client service needs promptly and professionally.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and other departments.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licenses: Property & Casualty Agent’s License required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of insurance experience, with at least 5 years preferred.
- Strong understanding of multi-line commercial insurance contracts and coverages.
- Proficiency in AMS360 or similar agency management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Professional designations are a plus.
