Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong background in account management within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial insurance clients, providing excellent service and fostering lasting client relationships.
  • Assess client needs, offer tailored insurance solutions, and ensure policies align with their business goals.
  • Manage client accounts, including policy renewals, endorsements, claims processing, and resolving account-related inquiries.
  • Provide accurate and timely information on coverage options, premiums, and policy changes to clients and prospects.
  • Work closely with underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate competitive rates and terms.
  • Prepare and present policies, proposals, and other relevant documents to clients.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell insurance products to existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to onboard new clients and support business development efforts.
  • Maintain detailed and organized account records in the CRM system.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, products, and regulations to offer informed advice.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A minimum of 3+ years of account management experience, preferably within the commercial insurance industry.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • A strong work ethic, adaptability, and a proactive approach to improving workflows and client satisfaction.
