Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service. This role requires a balance of technical insurance knowledge, client management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial lines insurance accounts, ensuring clients' needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Address inquiries related to policy coverage, changes, billing, renewals, and claims processing.
  • Work closely with underwriters, carriers, and internal teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions for clients.
  • Proactively identify and address potential coverage gaps and provide clients with recommendations for enhanced coverage options.
  • Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Oversee account renewals, negotiating terms with carriers to secure the best options for clients.
  • Consistently ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards during all account servicing activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify cross-selling opportunities and support potential new business.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and product offerings to better serve clients.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance account management or a related field.
  • Licensure: Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverage types, underwriting, and claims processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex insurance concepts to clients in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Technology Savvy: Proficient in using agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to anticipate issues, develop solutions, and respond to client needs proactively.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
