Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join a team. This role involves managing complex and fast-paced environmental casualty accounts, including General Liability, Commercial Automobile, Workers Compensation, and specialized environmental products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000+ (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service large, complex environmental casualty accounts with premiums exceeding $300,000.
  • Handle General Liability, Commercial Automobile (Liability & Physical Damage), Workers Compensation, and environmental package policies.
  • Prepare market submissions, quote cover letters, and review policies for accuracy.
  • Communicate with retail agency personnel and underwriters to ensure accurate account information.
  • Assist with inputting and updating client information in required systems.
  • Resolve invoicing issues and communicate with Premium Accounting regarding notices of cancellation.
  • Ensure claim notifications are sent to the claims department.
  • Perform basic office duties, including filing, copying, and maintaining files.
  • Prepare reports, submissions, and other relevant documentation.
  • Support the renewal process and solicit new or renewal business as directed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: 4-year college degree required, preferably in business.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of commercial insurance experience, with a focus on casualty lines and environmental products.
  • Licensure: Property & Casualty license preferred; Surplus Line License is a plus (must be obtained during initial training if not already held).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ImageRight and AIM transaction systems is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of insurance products and services, particularly in casualty and professional liability.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage workload with minimal supervision, and excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in wholesale or retail agency/brokerage environments.
