Job Summary
A position is available for a Commercial Lines Account Manager (CLAM) specializing in Middle Market accounts. The role involves managing a portfolio of approximately 180 accounts, with account sizes ranging from $25,000 to $80,000. The position is based in Lafayette, with the option to work in Baton Rouge. This opportunity is within a regional, closely held independent agency that emphasizes a consultative approach to client service.
Compensation Package

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of middle-market commercial accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Provide consultative guidance to clients, presenting various insurance scenarios and assisting them in making informed decisions.
- Handle daily account management tasks, including quoting new and renewal business.
- Collaborate with producers and other team members to deliver exceptional service.
- Utilize agency management software to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active licensure in Property & Casualty insurance is required.
- Proven experience in managing commercial lines accounts, preferably within the middle-market segment.
- Strong understanding of insurance products and the ability to explain complex concepts to clients.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
