Commercial Insurance Team Lead (Fully Remote to GA & FL residents)

$60K-$80K base (DOE) + incentives

MUST BE P&C LICENSED, 2-20 for FL (helpful if multi-state licensed)

Our agency is looking for a Commercial Insurance Team Lead to motivate, mentor, and manage our high-performing team of Account Managers and CSRs. You'll be the driving force behind operational excellence, superior client service, and business expansion.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Develop a Winning Team

  • Oversee and guide a team of Account Managers and CSRs, fostering a culture of collaboration and success.
  • Train team members on industry best practices, risk management, renewal procedures, quoting strategies, and E&O awareness.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to track progress, resolve challenges, and maintain high morale.
  • Act as the go-to expert for complex commercial coverage inquiries, claims issues, and escalations.
  • Hire, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring they thrive in their roles.

Optimize Operations & Enhance Efficiency

  • Oversee and streamline workflows to improve productivity.
  • Manage a complex, mid-sized book of commercial insurance business, ensuring top-tier client service.
  • Monitor renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and policy changes, ensuring high retention rates.
  • Create time-saving, effective processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Drive Business Growth & Client Success

  • Boost client retention through proactive engagement and exceptional service.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize client protection and agency revenue.
  • Ensure the team adheres to best practices in client communication and policy servicing.
  • Support team members in marketing new business and placing complex risks.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of commercial insurance experience, with at least 2 years in leadership/training.
  • Active Property & Casualty license (multi-state licensing is a plus).
  • Tech-savvy, with experience in MS Office, AMS (Salesforce preferred), and rating systems like EZLynx.
  • Proven leadership abilities – a motivator, mentor, and team builder.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – able to handle escalations and make sound decisions.
  • Strong communication skills – able to engage both clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Results-driven mindset – focused on higher performance, retention, and revenue growth.
