Client Relationship Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage, retain, and grow an existing book of business through networking, referrals, and cross-selling.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospective clients, carrier partners, and internal team members.
  • Plan and oversee the renewal process for health and life coverages, recommending appropriate insurance solutions and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with renewal, sales, and insurance operations requirements, documenting all activities in the agency management system.
  • Conduct strategic planning sessions with clients to meet annual service goals and objectives.
  • Educate clients on benefits legislation, regulatory requirements, compliance, and new product information.
  • Develop and oversee customer service plans to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Resolve client issues and address escalated employee enrollment and claims concerns.
  • Prepare and deliver stewardship reports, proposals, and presentations aligned with client needs.
  • Support the sales team with new business strategies, prospect meetings, and client implementation.
  • Promote teamwork and knowledge sharing within the department and organization.
  • Participate in training initiatives and remain current on industry trends, legislation, and product developments.
  • Adhere to agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

  • Valid Health, Accident, and Life Insurance Producer license in good standing.
  • Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers, printers, and fax machines.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in account management or sales.
