Job Summary:
Our client is a well-established insurance organization known for its commitment to delivering quality service, innovative solutions, and a strong focus on customer relationships. They are currently seeking an Underwriting Support Specialist to join their team and provide critical administrative and operational support to their underwriting department. 

COMPENSATION:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative, operations, or support role within the insurance industry (underwriting support experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of insurance terminology and workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance-related software systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide administrative support to underwriters and underwriting managers.
  2. Review and enter insurance applications, endorsements, and renewal documents into internal systems.
  3. Communicate with agents/brokers to gather missing information or clarify application details.
  4. Assist in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
  5. Maintain and update underwriting files and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  6. Perform data entry, quality control, and document management tasks.
  7. Coordinate with other internal departments (e.g., Claims, Compliance, Actuarial) as needed.
