Overview

Our client, a leading insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Senior Auto/Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to join their team. This individual will be responsible for managing complex Auto and Bodily Injury claims from inception to resolution while ensuring prompt, fair, and accurate claim handling in compliance with company policies and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate Auto and Bodily Injury claims with moderate to high complexity.
  2. Review policy coverage, liability, and damages to determine exposure and appropriate claim strategy.
  3. Conduct detailed interviews with insureds, claimants, witnesses, and medical providers.
  4. Analyze medical records, police reports, and expert evaluations to assess injury severity and potential exposure.
  5. Evaluate and negotiate settlements directly with claimants, attorneys, and other representatives.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of all claim activity in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  7. Collaborate with defense counsel and participate in litigation strategy when applicable.
  8. Ensure timely and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the claims process.
  9. Mentor and assist junior adjusters with technical claims handling guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience handling Auto and/or Bodily Injury claims for an insurance carrier.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policy language, state regulations, and claims best practices.
  • Proven negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to assess liability and damages effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and attention to detail.
