Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team. The Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of employee benefits accounts, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and providing strategic guidance to clients in the development and management of their employee benefits programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of employee benefits accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through regular communication and strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored recommendations for employee benefits programs.
  • Lead the renewal process for client accounts, including preparing and delivering presentations, negotiating terms, and finalizing contracts.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market developments to proactively identify opportunities for client program enhancements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing management of client benefits programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on employee benefits, providing guidance and support to clients and internal colleagues.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Previous group benefits experience is required.
  • Previous independent agency experience is preferred.
  • Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of client accounts and driving client satisfaction and retention.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in account management software and Microsoft Office suite.
