Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and professional Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a book of small business commercial lines accounts, providing exceptional service, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The position is primarily in-office, with one remote day per week.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience.
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k).
- Work Schedule: Hybrid model – 4 days in-office, 1 day remote.
- Training: Onsite training provided until the candidate is comfortable in the role.
Responsibilities
- Manage and service a commercial lines book of business for small businesses (all accounts under $50k premium).
- Handle endorsements, billing/payments, claims, and cancellations.
- Create and process new and renewal business submissions.
- Obtain and manage loss runs and supporting documents.
- Issue certificates, evidence of insurance, auto ID cards, and binders.
- Check and distribute policies, create proposals for agents as needed.
- Track cancellations, process audits, and manage audit tracking.
- Handle bonds, remarket accounts, and quote account rounds for existing commercial lines business.
- Stay updated on carrier updates and underwriting information.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in account management and handling daily responsibilities in commercial lines.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Epic software is preferred.
