Technical Claim Manager - Professional Liability A&E
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Claim Manager to join a team. In this role, you will manage complex professional liability claims involving architects, engineers, and surveyors.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $115,000 - $160,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Manage professional liability claims involving design professionals, ensuring fair, timely, and cost-effective resolutions.
- Conduct detailed investigations and issue appropriate coverage letters and documentation.
- Analyze and address coverage issues, including contractual indemnity and additional insured matters.
- Maintain accurate reserves and pursue risk transfer opportunities.
- Handle claims in alignment with best practices and company standards.
- Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary.
- Collaborate with underwriters, insureds, and upper management to achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field, OR Juris Doctorate with relevant insurance defense litigation experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in legal or insurance-related roles, with meaningful experience handling design professional claims under professional liability policies.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of case law, statutes, and procedures impacting claims handling.
- Proficiency in proactive investigation, risk transfer, and claims resolution.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Competencies: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to manage a balanced caseload effectively.
