Agribusiness Insurance Producer | Remote (NC)| Growth Opportunity

We are partnering with a highly regarded, growth-focused insurance agency to help them hire an Agribusiness Producer. This is a strong opportunity for someone with a background in farm-related insurance who’s ready to build a book from scratch—or take over existing business as senior producers transition out.

About the Role:

• Title: Agribusiness Producer

• Location: Remote (some training in Dunn, NC, for 1–2 weeks, travel covered; minimal in-person presence otherwise up to 4X per year)

• Compensation: W-2 model

  • 50% commission on new business

  • 30% commission on renewals

  • Profit sharing (varies)

• Account Size Range: $2K to $200K

• 401(k): 5% dollar-for-dollar match

• Benefits: 100% employer-paid for employees (medical, dental, vision, life, STD, LTD)

Team & Culture:

• 25 total employees across North Carolina

• You’d be joining a collaborative team where one senior producer is preparing for retirement and a director-level producer is ready to transition the business

• The agency places a strong emphasis on culture fit, cross-team support, and long-term career development

Qualifications:

• 1–5 years of P&C experience (agribusiness focus preferred)

• Experience with farm-specific risks: property, inland marine, equipment breakdown, workers’ comp, etc.

• Licenses: P&C required; AFIS strongly preferred

• Familiarity with Salesforce (BorrowedTyme) is a plus

• Self-starter capable of building or growing a book

• Strong communicator and cultural fit—interview process involves multiple departments to ensure alignment

This is not a high-pressure, immediate-need role—the team is focused on finding the right long-term fit.
