Professional Liability Claims Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned Professional Liability Claims Manager to join the growing team and oversee a portfolio of complex professional liability claims.

Compensation:

• $170,000 - $200,000/year (depending on experience)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Professional Liability claims (E&O, D&O, EPL, or related).
• Prior management or team leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes, insurance coverage, and claims resolution strategies.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence, lead, and develop high-performing claims professionals.

Job Description:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professional liability claims adjusters.
• Oversee investigation, coverage analysis, and resolution of complex and high-exposure claims.
• Provide strategic direction and technical guidance on litigation management, settlement negotiations, and reserving practices.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and risk management teams to provide claims insights and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle escalated claims and act as a technical subject matter expert in professional liability matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insureds, brokers, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders.
