Workers' Compensation Claims Representative - Southeast (Remote)

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (based on qualifications and experience)

Responsibilities

  • Determine compensability and/or coverage issues for lost-time workers' compensation claims.
  • Effectively manage a caseload of lost-time claims across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Negotiate and direct settlements under management's review.
  • Gather medical and factual evidence to determine compensability.
  • Direct outside investigations and manage litigation files within assigned authority.
  • Maintain regular communication with claimants, attorneys, outside investigators, rehabilitation personnel, insureds, account liaisons, and medical providers.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation claims handling.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Adjuster license and confirmation of home state license are mandatory.
  • Jurisdictional experience in GA, NC, SC, FL, AL, TN, and LA is required.
  • Carrier experience is preferred.
  • Experience in handling lost-time or litigated claims.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
