Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, assessing their commercial insurance needs, and ensuring they have the appropriate coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client needs, inquiries, renewals, and policy changes.
  • Assist clients with determining appropriate coverage for their commercial insurance needs, including General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Property Insurance, and more.
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals, ensuring all products and services meet the client’s unique needs.
  • Process renewals, endorsements, and claims documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of clients' insurance programs to ensure adequate coverage and stay ahead of policy expiration dates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and underwriters to address and resolve client concerns or questions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulations to provide accurate and informed advice to clients.
  • Assist in identifying growth opportunities with existing accounts and support business development efforts as needed.
  • Maintain and update client records in the CRM system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Prior experience in an account management or client-facing role, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Active Insurance Producer License is required (or willingness to obtain).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products and policies, including risk assessment and market placement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and proficient in problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
