Commercial Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Account Manager to join a team in a full-time capacity. This role involves managing and supporting a commercial book of business, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and identifying opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance, with the ability to independently handle day-to-day servicing, renewals, cross-selling, and policy changes with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities
- Manage and service an assigned book of commercial accounts
- Handle renewals, endorsements, certificates, audits, and policy changes
- Gather and review underwriting information to ensure accurate policy ratings
- Conduct thorough coverage and exposure reviews during renewals
- Process vehicle additions and deletions, ensuring all required documentation is obtained
- Communicate professionally and promptly with carriers and clients
- Identify coverage gaps and cross-sell additional products when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the agency management system
Qualifications/Requirements
Required:
- 3–4+ years of hands-on commercial lines experience
- Strong understanding of:
- All commercial lines of business
- Common underwriting requirements and exposures
- Proven ability to independently manage renewals and mid-term changes or additions
- Knowledge of required information for vehicle changes and policy endorsements
- Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Active insurance license
Preferred:
- Agency experience
- Experience working with multiple carriers
- Currently employed in a similar commercial insurance role
- Familiarity with ACORD forms, Excel, and Microsoft Office products
