Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a nationally recognized brokerage platform. This role supports a diverse commercial client base, including commercial real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, and nonprofit organizations. The Account Manager will focus on client retention, relationship management, and delivering high-quality service in collaboration with internal teams and carrier partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day servicing of an assigned commercial book of business, including invoicing, claims reporting, premium breakdowns, policy changes, and coverage comparisons.
- Issue certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and process policies and endorsements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier partners, and vendors to support long-term retention.
- Identify potential coverage gaps and collaborate with leadership to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support the renewal process by ordering loss runs, gathering underwriting information, preparing applications, and assisting with renewal proposals.
- Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
- Assist with account rounding initiatives and referral opportunities to support organic growth.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams as needed to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Participate in internal strategy meetings and client meetings as required.
- Maintain adherence to agency policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on industry trends and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, contracts, and applicable regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Experience working with agency management software; familiarity with AMS360 is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the retail insurance industry or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- College degree in a business-related field.
