Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager. This position serves as a link between clients and insurers by managing relationships, processing insurance needs, and ensuring client satisfaction. The role requires utilizing insurance expertise and account management skills to provide excellent service, build long-term relationships, and contribute to the growth and retention of client accounts.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on understanding client needs and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
- Handle day-to-day servicing of commercial lines accounts, including processing endorsements, renewals, audits, cancellations, and certificates of insurance.
- Proactively communicate and follow up with clients on policy changes, billing inquiries, and other service requests.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategies for retaining and expanding client accounts.
- Review and analyze current policies to identify opportunities for enhancing coverage, minimizing risk, and optimizing client portfolios.
- Serve as a point of contact between clients and insurance carriers, negotiating terms and ensuring seamless communication.
- Stay updated on industry trends, coverage options, and regulatory requirements to offer informed advice and guidance.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records in compliance with company practices and guidelines.
- Assist in resolving claims-related issues, liaising with insurance adjusters and carriers as needed.
- Participate in company meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Proven experience in commercial insurance account management or a similar customer service role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies, coverage options, and industry regulations.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using insurance agency management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
