Commercial Lines Account Manager – Hybrid

 

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to support Producers and the agency in managing and growing a book of business through retention, account rounding, and new business development. This is a full-time position with hybrid or in-office flexibility.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Producers, clients, and the agency in daily policy management.
  • Process renewals in coordination with Producers according to agency procedures.
  • Complete new and renewal applications in collaboration with Producers and clients.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed.
  • Issue binders, certificates, evidences, and policies; verify accuracy, invoice, and prepare client documents.
  • Review and issue requests for certificates or evidence of insurance, ensuring contractual and policy compliance.
  • Facilitate policy change requests with clients, Producers, and carriers; verify accuracy, process corrections, invoice, and transact.
  • Review carrier audits, verify accuracy, and coordinate corrections as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to incoming mail and phone requests.
  • Manage invoicing, collections, and cancellations in line with agency standards.
  • Maintain client accounts accurately in the agency management system.
  • Accompany Producers on client and prospect meetings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role managing a book of business.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, markets, and underwriting procedures.
  • Proficiency with computer programs; experience with agency management software preferred (Applied EPIC or similar).
  • College degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workflow and prioritize effectively.
  • Proven ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to staying informed on industry trends, products, legislation, and coverages.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and support others in achieving agency goals.
