Commercial Lines Account Manager – Hybrid
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to support Producers and the agency in managing and growing a book of business through retention, account rounding, and new business development. This is a full-time position with hybrid or in-office flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Producers, clients, and the agency in daily policy management.
- Process renewals in coordination with Producers according to agency procedures.
- Complete new and renewal applications in collaboration with Producers and clients.
- Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed.
- Issue binders, certificates, evidences, and policies; verify accuracy, invoice, and prepare client documents.
- Review and issue requests for certificates or evidence of insurance, ensuring contractual and policy compliance.
- Facilitate policy change requests with clients, Producers, and carriers; verify accuracy, process corrections, invoice, and transact.
- Review carrier audits, verify accuracy, and coordinate corrections as necessary.
- Respond promptly to incoming mail and phone requests.
- Manage invoicing, collections, and cancellations in line with agency standards.
- Maintain client accounts accurately in the agency management system.
- Accompany Producers on client and prospect meetings as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role managing a book of business.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, markets, and underwriting procedures.
- Proficiency with computer programs; experience with agency management software preferred (Applied EPIC or similar).
- College degree preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workflow and prioritize effectively.
- Proven ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
- Commitment to staying informed on industry trends, products, legislation, and coverages.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and support others in achieving agency goals.
