Commercial Lines Placement Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Placement Specialist to join a growing brokerage team. This role involves working with middle-market and large accounts across a variety of industries, focusing on placing complex risks and delivering effective insurance solutions. The position offers the opportunity to leverage strong market relationships and technical expertise to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually

Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s scope of expertise, structure, and value proposition.
- Coordinate placement strategies with Client Advisers and Account Executives to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
- Lead competitive coverage placement processes, demonstrating strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
- Maintain productive relationships with underwriters at key trading partners.
- Collaborate with national placement resources to address clients’ coverage needs comprehensively.
- Assist in preparing submissions and applications required by the underwriting community.
- Direct submissions to appropriate trading partners and negotiate best-in-class coverage terms, conditions, and costs.
- Prepare coverage comparisons based on quotations and proposals received from underwriters.
- Serve as a secondary internal source of information on market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies.
- Promote the utilization of strategic trading partners to maintain secure and dependable relationships.
- Support senior staff in larger, more complex placements as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1+ years of industry experience in commercial insurance brokerage, placement, carrier underwriting, or carrier relationship management.
- 4+ years of preferred experience in related roles.
- Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of national insurance broker sales, service, and placement processes.
- Familiarity with small commercial and middle-market account segments, standard property and casualty products, and the Excess and Surplus Lines marketplace.
- Skills:
- Strong project/process management discipline and follow-through.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and creative thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with mid-level expertise in Excel.
- Familiarity with Epic software (preferred but not mandatory).
- Soft Skills:
