Job Summary

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 (Year 1; declines over 3 years to commission-only structure)
  • Commission: 40% on new business, 30% on renewals
  • Bonuses: Activity-based bonuses (e.g., $1,000 for meeting monthly goals)
  • Equity Opportunity: Eligible for equity once the book of business reaches $250,000
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure new business opportunities in the middle-market commercial sector.
  • Develop expertise in a chosen vertical ("major") and secondary focus area ("minor").
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular meetings and communication.
  • Attend a specialized sales training program in Tennessee to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and activity goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Required Experience:
    • Proven B2B sales experience (3-4 years preferred).
    • Insurance experience, such as a Producer Assistant role, is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated success in prospecting and conducting client meetings.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Risk Management or Business/Sales degree.
    • Experience working in high-performance sales environments (e.g., Enterprise, Gallagher, Cintas, or similar).
    • Background in insurance-related roles, including servicing and selling.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred but not required.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Highly motivated and results-driven with a "hungry" mentality.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
    • Passion for building a successful career in sales.
    • Collegiate athletic experience is a plus.
