Commercial Lines Producer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Producer to join a team. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a passion for generating and closing new business opportunities, particularly within the farm and agricultural sectors. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from one of the offices. This position offers the chance to inherit an existing book of business while also building new client relationships.

Compensation Package

  • Competitive salary range: $50,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new commercial business opportunities, focusing on farm and agricultural sectors
  • Conduct cold calling, email outreach, networking, and in-person visits to potential clients
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within new accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, ranchers, agribusiness owners, and agricultural lenders
  • Perform risk assessments and gather underwriting information for quotes
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals for farm and agricultural exposures, including property, liability, equipment, and crop insurance
  • Negotiate coverage terms and close new business deals
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual production goals

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license in Oregon
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a similar producing role, with a proven track record of success
  • Familiarity with farm, agriculture, and general commercial insurance accounts
  • Experience with AMS360 and ImageRight software is preferred
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with clients or attend in-office meetings if working remotely
