Job Summary
Looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director of Insurance Operations to oversee and lead the Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and Marketing departments.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across policy administration, claims processing, underwriting support, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the insurance division.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and process improvements.
- Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to achieve business objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage staffing, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Implement and maintain effective risk management practices and internal controls.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory changes and audits.
- Partner with underwriting, claims, finance, IT, and other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including brokers, reinsurers, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate operational insights and performance metrics to executive leadership.
- Leverage technology to enhance operational capabilities and data-driven decision-making.
- Identify and implement system improvements and automation solutions.
- Ensure effective use of insurance platforms and data analytics tools.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8–10 years of experience in insurance operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products, processes, regulations, and industry trends.
- Proven track record of leading large teams and driving operational success.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in agency management systems (Epic preferred) and data analytics.
